    1. Hi Monica

During the class session the children spend part of the time playing on the floor and part of the time “at the table”. This means that the teacher and students are seated around a table sort of like a family seated around a table for dinner. The teacher is at the same level as the children so she can easily display items and interact.

In our church we used to use a low table and little chairs. Now, we have a table that is normal height. It is an “L-shaped” table that has been re-inforced and even attached to the wall to keep it stable. The children sit in little “hook on chairs” that I ordered online and the teacher sits in a normal chair. The hook on chairs are actually like a portable high chair. I have included a link to the photo of our classroom below.

      I hope that helps explain.

  1. Thank you so much. THIS is what I’ve been looking for! I’m currently teaching our 0-2 class at church, and with three under 5 at home, I just don’t have breathing room to sit down and write my own curriculum. The curriculum from our class supply cabinet spends more time teaching about animals than God, which is so disappointing. Thank you for sharing your work and making it so accessible.
