Links to Other Game Resources

Kids love games and they can enhance any class.  Almost any game can be adapted to fit with your lesson.  As a rule of thumb, if the game brings out the Bible truth then it is a good learning game.  If the children’s focus is more on the game than the truths we are learning then I wouldn’t use a lot of my teaching time on it.

That said, from time to time we’ll play “lighter” games the children love just because it is good fellowship time.

One way to find games online is to go to a search engine (Like https://www.google.com ) and search for “bible games for kids”.

Pinterest is another great resource. Just do a search and you will find all sorts of fun ideas for games on Pinterest.

Here are some resources I use from time to time.  There are many good ideas online if you take the time to look and sort through them.

• Notebooking:This idea is sort of like keeping a class journal or scrapbook and can be kept simple and inexpensive or more elaborate.  Good ideas at http://thecraftyclassroom.com/2014/06/02/free-bible-notebooking-pages/
• Popsicle Stick Puzzles:
  Here’s a great idea that could be adapted to any story or lesson. A photo, printed picture or even a memory verse could be glued to popsicle sticks so that the children put them back together time and again as a puzzle.  Instructions and photographs at http://impressyourkids.org/fathers-day-craft/
