Personal Statement

Mission Bible Class is a personal labour of love I have worked on for many years.  I created it as a tool to help people around the world share God’s Word with children at no financial cost.  Many people have urged me to charge money for these materials, but I really believe that teachers need free basic materials.

If you would also like to join me in providing free resources to teachers, please contact me at mary@missionbibleclass.org. I would love to speak with you.

  2. Hi Mary,

Now, I patiently transfer your materials in a book noting that it is from your website. SoS, that many teachers in our church can use it. To teach in different schools and different rural areas. Thank you so much for sharing it. I pray thay God bless you abundantly and exceedingly.

    Love,

    Angeline

    1. Hello Angeline
Thank you for your comment. I’m so glad to hear that you are finding these resources helpful! I love to hear how people are using the site. May God bless you.

  3. Dear Mary,
After reading your permission to provide free material for local church usage, I produced the material in Portuguese for my teachers. I have been using your website for our bible class here in Contagem, Brazil for about two years. Some ideas for introducing a story are not culturally relevant so I replaced them for others. The chronological sequencing has been very helpful for my personal growth and I am excited to give the children this perspective so young! I want to thank you for providing this material at no cost because I can freely use what God has given you and that you have freely given to us with a clean conscience.
In saying this, I have the same burden you do for providing material free of charge in the Portuguese language. In the future I would like to offer your material, translated in Portuguese online with art work the teacher could use for flannel or other ways. I love to draw and have made some illustrations when time has permitted. During my summer break, I plan on illustrating some of the stories so that the teacher can have a few things at hand. Our church needs this because very few of our volunteers have experience and feel overwhelmed to even offer to help.
For now most of the illustrations I have made for my teachers are from things I found on the web and adapted for us. But I would like to provide something free of charge like the Distance Shores Media has done. I have used some of theirs, but for the little kids I prefer more animated pictures.
My daughter helped me create a Sunday school blog, but I have little know-how and have not updated it in over a year. But again, during our summer break (December and January months) I want to use some of my time to practice and learn how to do this. Please let me know how you feel about this and pray for me to have wisdom. I feel overwhelmed with this burden to help other teachers with encouragement and material free of charge.
    In Him,
    Karen Oliveira

    1. Hi Karen

It makes me so happy to know that you are using these materials in Brazil. I’m glad you also mentioned your personal growth because of the chronological sequencing. That has been really helpful for my own growth also.

Great idea to translate materials. I met another Brazilian sister recently who also has use for material in Portuguese. I have some ideas on this. I will contact you by personal email.

God Bless you for your integrity for seeking permission.

      Mary
