I totally agree with Regina’s comment above! As Children’s Director of a new church plant, I’ve been searching for Bible lessons that take us chronologically from Creation to Revelation that make sense to the children and aren’t full of fluff. The people are “fleshed out” and we can all picture their real lives. I love to know why they did certain things, the culture of the time, and any other details I find.
As a result, I’ve been studying and writing our lessons to teach as if none of the children know any Bible, and after the flood story, putting world history into the total picture. Our K-6th graders are eating it up! As Regina said, it is very time consuming! I feel so blessed to have come across your website, and wish I had found it sooner! I know this was not God’s plan, though, because I’ve learned so many little details that reinforced or changed my opinion of a Bible person or learned a whole lesson I had missed, it has been worth every second of the effort!
Getting the children (and our teachers) from Creation to Exodus has been my initial goal. I feel so confident about your lesson plans, (and as you can probably tell – I’m picky!) I would like permission to use them in our Children’s classes.

I’m looking forward to seeing the lessons you are still working on. Even if you don’t get to them by the time our kids get to that place in time, you have given me time to adequately write my own and not have the stressors of doing all of them myself.

    Thank you so much!

      Hi Bonnie

It sounds like we are “kindred spirits” when it comes to teaching children. I favour the chronological approach also. It’s been good for both students and teachers.

I’m so glad you are using the lessons. That is why I wrote them. They are free to use for your children’s classes in your local church.

You’ve also encouraged me to get back to work and finish those unfinished lessons :-).

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

This material is such a blessing! Wanting to give a great lessons to the children takes lots of time and with everyone’s work schedules on overload, it is an AWESOME Blessing that you have organized great lessons so that more time as a teacher can be spent teaching the material and making it come to life the way you have designed it instead of spending so much time trying to create only a small amount of you have ready now. I am blessed with your generosity for our children!
