Songs

Overview

Songs are a great addition to any Bible class. Children love to sing, and so do adults! Singing is found throughout the Bible, whether Miriam’s song at the crossing of the Red Sea, David’s Psalms, or encouragement to sing praise to God in the epistles. Songs are a beautiful expression of truth as well as the heart, and lyrics are actually stored in a different part of the brain than other types of information. Children will forget many details of lessons over time, but the songs you sing with children in class will often stay with them for the rest of their lives. All the more reason to sing! You can choose songs that go with the theme of your lesson, or you can just let children sing their favourites.
