Teaching Children: Where Do I Start?

Tell the Story!

This website is based on story.  Although it is a collection of over 170 Bible Stories it is actually only one story, the Story of God as Revealed by Him in His Word.  Click here for complete list of stories and lessons.

The purpose of Mission Bible Class is to help you share God’s Word with children of all ages.  Use and adapt these free resources to teach any age group in all kinds of teaching situations.

A well-told Bible story is the most natural and inter-generational method of sharing the Word of God.  God bless you as you tell the story!

Additional Free Teaching Materials

Finding My Feet: Most of the teaching material on this website relates to children aged three and older but infants and toddlers aged 0-2 years have specific learning needs.  Click here for free curriculum for infants and toddlers.

  1. Hi Cynthia,
Just want to let you know that we have been using your materials in our Sunday School at church. And during this quarantine, shared your website to other friends who are needing lessons and materials. Its been a great help for help. Thank you very much for all your hard work in crafting these materials. You’re a blessing. God bless you and the work you do for His glory.

  2. Greetings,
I ‘stumbled’ upon this website as I am preparing to teach lessons to my kindergartners (at a private Christian school as well as church Sunday School class) and I’m beyond blessed and thrilled! The material is OUTSTANDING!!! I’ve been teaching children for at least 30 years and THIS IS THE BEST (I do like Betty Lukens, also.) I love how doctrinally sound the lessons are, yet presented in such a way as that I’m certain will draw the children and keep them engaged n the lesson. I believe they will come away with a greater understanding of the numerous Bible accounts and will remember them. This is a fantastic website!!! Thank you!

    1. Dear Joyce,
Thank you for your encouraging words. I’m so happy you are finding this site so helpful at work and at church. It means so much to me that you took the time to let me know.
May God continue to bless you, the teacher, and those you teach.
